Body Art - Tattoo - Body art comes in many forms, from tattoos, and body sculpture (carving) to piercing's and alterations (plastic surgery). In the body art fetish people start out with one or two piercing's or tattoos and it becomes an addiction. There might be a theme to the tattoos or the piercing's or it just might be random. Some get a tattoo to to signify an important time or event in their lives, the birth of a child or death of a loved one.

When fetish is involved, it goes a bit beyond that, as the person getting the piercing or tattoo etc. get a rush or high from getting the tattoo, some even get the high thinking about their next piece of body art. It becomes a game, and this then leads to the sexual rush or receiving the body art.

In some cultures the body art signifies stature. Some others use the stretching of the skin as a form of body art. Stretching the bottom lip from childhood, putting in larger and larger disks until the lip hangs at an extreme length past the bottom jaw. Others use carving of symbols into the skin to create scars, and still others will use larger and larger pieces of wood or metal to stretch out the earlobes. In these cultures this is considered beauty. Many of these rituals have come to america, and many people into body art have adopted these types of rituals into their body art program.
