Back to the Sexual Knowledge Base Table of Contents Belly Dancing - Belly dancing originated as a sign of sex and childbirth. It was used by ancient Egyptions as a form of sex education. Having the partners face eachother and contort and gyrate their bodies in a sexual fashion mimicking sexual intercourse. Another dance called the "Ghaziyeh" was performed with women only, with scarves or long pieces of cloth which they would place between their legs and rub back and forth as they gyrated and danced, the cloth would rub against their genitals causing them to orgasm, once the orgasm was complete, the orgy would begin. Today Belly Dancing is still and erotic and sensual art form. Many men, and women enjoy watching the gyrations and some even take classes and perform for their mates in the privacy of their own homes. What a way to get the night started!
