MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – A man who made more than 600 telephone calls to a shoe store and other businesses to ask women about their shoes and feet must pay a $200 fine.

James Lee Fink, 31, placed 119 calls from his cell phone to the Chambersburg (Pa.) Mall, 513 calls to a Holiday Inn in Havelock, N.C., and 17 calls to a Comfort Inn in Chambersburg between Jan. 1 and May 8, 2006, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Jeff Bopp said Thursday.

The caller would ask the women what kind of shoes they were wearing and whether they would show him their feet if he came into their store.

The man identified himself as Brian Thompson, but State Police used phone records to link the telephone number to Fink, whose last known address was in Martinsburg.

Fink pleaded guilty to harassment in August in Franklin County Court in Pennsylvania. He was sentenced Wednesday.

In addition to a fine, Franklin County Court Judge John Walker ordered Fink to serve a year on probation. Fink also was ordered to stay away from The Shoe Department in Frederick, Md., and one woman whom he continuously harassed.

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Police seized more than 1,500 pairs of girls’ shoes from the home and storage unit of a man arrested for breaking into a high school, police said Tuesday. “He liked to smell them,” said Lt. William H. Graham.

Police said the recovered shoes may be related to the burglaries of three Waukesha public high schools and a middle school over the past two years.

The 27-year-old Kenosha man, who was not identified because had yet to be formally charged, worked for a cable company and collected keys to the schools as he responded to calls, Graham said. The same man was convicted in 2005 for stealing shoes from Kenosha Tremper High School.

Police arrested him after a security video showed him entering North High School on May 20 and leaving with some items, authorities said.

Officers searched the man’s home and a rented storage unit on Thursday, recovering the shoes along with school yearbooks, keys, a bolt cutter and other items.

The man was expected to be charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday, Capt. Mike Babe said.

LORAIN, Ohio – A former principal who kissed the feet of three male students to settle a bet on a volleyball game has been convicted of a misdemeanor sex charge.

Robert Holloway resigned from St. Anthony of Padua School in this town west of Cleveland after the 14-year-old students and their parents reported the foot-kissing to police in February 2006.

Holloway told authorities he paid each student $15 and kissed their bare feet 50 times each in the school’s library and gym to pay off the bet on a student-teacher volleyball game.

“They didn’t think he would literally do it,” police Sgt. Mark Carpentiere said.

Holloway pleaded no contest Tuesday to sexual imposition and unauthorized use of public property, also a misdemeanor, and was found guilty. He faces up to 15 months behind bars when sentenced in June.

“It’s not behind me yet,” Holloway said as he left court.

Carpentiere said 400 photos depicting adult foot fetish behavior were found on two school computers seized from Holloway’s office. The photos depicted the scenarios that he had engaged in with the boys, Carpentiere said.

“This appears to be a legitimate sexual fetish that adults are into, which is fine,” he said. “The problem here is he was engaging in this activity with juveniles.”

Prosecutor Jim Walther said he was pleased Holloway entered a plea and that the victims were spared any further embarrassment.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – A cameraman was caught with some creepy video footage. The man was surreptitiously videotaping female feet in the science library at University of California, Santa Cruz, campus police said. “Officers indicated he was embarrassed by his behavior,” university spokesman Jim Burns said Monday. “He offered no resistance to the request that he leave immediately and indicated he would not be back.”

It’s not illegal to videotape feet so no charges were filed. The name of the man, who was in his 40s and had no affiliation with the university, wasn’t disclosed. He was banned from the campus for two weeks.

Vince Nova, manager of the Science and Engineering Library, said the man was seen pointing a small video camera in the vicinity of three students’ feet. One of the students confronted the cameraman and he fled.

One of the female students spotted him again last Wednesday, and campus police were called. A campus officer searched the man’s bag and inspected the camera.

“From the taped contents of his camera, the subject of his filming seemed to be ‘feet,’” the officer wrote in his report.

Graduate student Nellie Chu said she wasn’t concerned.

“It’s odd, but I don’t think there’s any need to jump to conclusions,” Chu said. “Maybe he was doing research.”

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – A man convicted of terrorizing three teenagers by repeatedly calling and asking them about their feet has been sentenced to nine months to almost two years in prison.

Scott Michael Kundar, 32, was also ordered Tuesday to serve two years probation and to receive psychiatric counseling.

When asked by the judge what compelled him make the calls, Kundar declined to answer.

Kundar pleaded guilty Nov. 8 to three misdemeanor counts of making terroristic threats. As part of the plea agreement, three counts of stalking and nine counts of harassment were dropped.

Police charged him on March 28 with allegedly calling three 15-year-olds at their homes as many as 60 times a day and said he also threatened their parents.

Lawyer Nick Turco Jr., who represented Kundar, did not return a call for comment early Thursday.

LORAIN, Ohio – A former Roman Catholic school principal accused of kissing three male students’ feet has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of sexual imposition.

Robert Holloway, the former principal at St. Anthony of Padua School in Lorain, entered the plea Monday. He also pleaded not guilty to charges of unauthorized use of public property.

Police Sgt. Mark Carpentiere said foot fetish material was found on two school computers seized from Holloway’s office, despite the educator’s claims he did not have a foot fetish.

Holloway, 50, resigned as principal in the spring after the 14-year-old students and their parents reported the foot-kissing to police.

The principal told authorities that the kissing was pay-up for a bet over a student-teacher volleyball game. He paid each student $15 and kissed their feet 50 times in the school’s library and gym.

Holloway’s attorney, Carmen Roberto, would not allow his client to speak to reporters after the hearing.

STUART, Fla. – A man with mischief afoot entered a home and licked the toe of a sleeping woman over the weekend, police said. The man reportedly licked the woman’s left big toe while she was sleeping early Sunday, the Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers reported.

The woman was sleeping next to her husband, who chased the suspect from the house and down the street.

The suspect was wearing a black, hooded sweat shirt, white shorts and white shoes.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A grand jury has accused a man of sucking on a woman’s toe at the public library in nearby Boardman after he asked to kiss her feet to see her reaction as part of a sociology project

A Mahoning County grand jury has charged Joseph Colella, 28, of suburban Poland Township, on a charge of gross sexual imposition. If convicted, he could be face up to 1 1/2 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

A 27-year-old woman told police that on July 11 Colella asked to kiss her feet. She turned him down but said she relented when he repeatedly insisted, and he began kissing her foot and then sucked on a toe.

She pulled her foot away and the man asked her reaction, to which she replied she was freaked out.

The woman left to clean her foot and he was gone when she returned. She called police and picked him out of a photo lineup.

Detective Michelle DiMartino said Colella also was a suspect in a similar case in 2000.

Colella could not be reached for comment. A message seeking comment was left Tuesday at his home.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – A 23-year-old with a foot fetish has admitted he tried to kiss, fondle and lick the legs and toes of more than 70 women on the New York subway over the last three years, prosecutors said on Wednesday.

In a handwritten confession to police released by the Manhattan district attorney’s office, Joseph Weir said his aim was “to make them laugh and smile and open to talk to me.”

Weir, who was arrested late last week after attacking a woman on a subway in lower Manhattan, is charged with forcible touching, sex abuse and unlawful imprisonment — the latter charge referring to his habit of grabbing his victims’ legs and not letting go.

He faces up to a year in jail if convicted and has been released on $6,000 bail until a court hearing on June 26.

In a rambling confession peppered with grammatical errors, Weir, who lives in Brooklyn, detailed how he accosted the women while riding the subways between Manhattan and the borough of Queens.

“I get on my knees, bow, grab their feet, kiss them. I grab their hand and tell them ‘You’re so beautiful. I’m not worthy,’” he wrote. “I do not give me real name. If they ask I will tell them my name is Anthony, Jason or Careem.”

Weir said his motivation was to get to know the women, but he recalled that often they would move away when he tried to “taste and touch them.”

“Some women had kick(ed) me and screamed,” he wrote. “I’ve done this to about 70 women, mostly black.”

Prosecutors said dozens of women had started to come forward to identify Weir, who told detectives in his confession that he lived with his parents and two sisters.

“I am currently unemployed,” he wrote, adding that he had been fired from his previous job with a sightseeing company.

In his confession, Weir apologized to his victims, saying: “I don’t mean to hurt no body and I am sorry.”
